The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regard to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services stage created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to enable the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
